I have the wi-fi only model so I won’t be tacking it up in my car, but the kitchen and picture frame setups look like they could work at my house.

Here is the ridiculously awesome-looking, Ashley Wood-designed, World War Robot MK2 Bertie that I ordered back in December from 3A. I mention it today because I just got notice of a delivery date. In June. While I don’t doubt these are the greatest vinyl toys in the history of vinyl toys, a 6 month wait from order to potential ship date is a bit much.
And of course I’ve got orders in for a couple more. They really are insane-looking. I have a hunch they will live up to the hype, too.
I haven’t worked on one in a while, but I still love the idea of a DIY vinyl toy. They’re terrific rainy-day projects with the kids. I’m going to have to try these new models out.

Especially the giraffe.
Nate Duval designed some snappy change purses for Blue Q and, because he’s a hell of a guy, he’s giving away one of each on his site. Go here and leave a comment for a chance at a freebie and then when you don’t win go here to buy one. I know my girls would be into them for sure.

It’s for the FIFTY24SF Gallery show later this month. You remember the poster he did for it, right? A. Horkey is also doing the show poster which Upper Playground has turned into a t-shirt.

The 1964 Creepy Crawler Thingmaker from Mattel, a distant cousin of today’s Creepy Crawler toys, came with a series of molds, tubes of “plastigoop,” and an open-faced frier, which could heat up to a nerve-searing 310 degrees.
And is #1 even a surprise?
