Beck covering INXS’ “Kick” for his Record Club
Record Club is a thing where Beck gets some people together and then re-records a whole album.
Record Club: INXS “Guns In The Sky” from Beck Hansen on Vimeo.
Kick was one of the very first tapes I got from BMG and I wore it out. I love those songs. I’m going to follow this one pretty closely.

Scott Pilgrim trailer is GO!
It’s already all over everywhere, but I’m such a Scott Pilgrim fan that I want to be sure you guys see it.
new Ted Leo and the Pharmacists video – “The Mighty Sparrow”
I like Ted Leo plenty, but my favorite part of this video is that I know the bass player, Marty. We’re not like tight bros or anything, but I know him and I know he’s wanted to get this gig for a long time. Good for him.
Moscú Está Helado
From the Stones Throw compilation The Minimal Wave Tapes – Vol.1. The video isn’t much more than a Soviet and Russian slideshow, but I’m hooked on the song. That whole comp is worthwhile if you like that early electronic sound from the 70′s and 80′s. I’m into it.
Shaqasso!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy Shaquille O’Neal.
Pedal Power 2010
Pedal Power is coming this weekend. It’s nice to see the event getting some coverage.
Chevy Apache 10
I saw this on my way to grab lunch the other day. I love old pickup trucks. This one was in great shape but it wasn’t all “restored”-looking. The wood planks in the bed were roughed up like it was still in steady use but the whole thing was clean, like the guy who owns it knows what he has and he keeps it up.
