Kingsbury Manx @ The Bridge – Charlottesville VA – 5.21.09

I completely lucked into seeing the Kingsbury Manx (MySpace link) a couple of weeks ago. I’m a big, big fan of this band and I just happened upon a list of 4 tour dates this Spring, one of which was an hour down the highway in Charlottesville. The Manx were actually opening for there with another band on their Odessa label (Americans In France who I missed and a local C’ville band that I didn’t dig. Thanks to Paul @ Odessa for setting my story straight. -ed. ) so I was able to head back home at a reasonable hour.

Since I was one of 15 people there for the show (marvel at the iPhone photo above!) I got a chance to meet the guys in the band and hang out for just a bit before I split. They couldn’t have been nicer guys, which is nice, since I’m a total dork for their music.
