“Leaving Records” by Felix Jackson, Jr.

This is smart and really well executed. You can buy it here for $30, shipped.

Cycle North Carolina Spring Ride!

null

I’m heading South this afternoon to go to the Spring Ride put on by Cycle North Carolina. This will be my first multi-day tour ride and I’m excited to get into it. We will be camping out each of the next 3 nights with rides each day.

I’ve only been camping (as a grown up) a couple of times but I think I have everything I will need. One of the reasons this particular ride was suggested was because the campsite doesn’t change from night to night. Each day’s rides start and end at the same place so you can just focus on the riding.

The cycling is going to be at a steady but measured pace with mileage goals of 50, 75, and 35 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. I’m taking it easy on Sunday since I will also have to break camp and drive home after the riding. I haven’t been riding as much the last couple of weeks but I think my goals should be well within reach. I’m looking at this weekend as a kickoff to serious riding for the rest of the Spring and into the Summer. The MS 150 is coming and I want to ride a century on the first day. I’ll touch more on that one later.

I’ll try to get some photos and post them up when I get back. I’ll also be updating my twitter (@falfa as always) if you want as-it-happens updates.

Wish me luck!

Sky Larkin’s ‘The Golden Spike’ is up for streaming

They have all the tracks up at last.fm.

This was already on my radar for when it shows up as a domestic release based solely on Beeline. Now that I’ve heard the rest of it I’m tempted to shell out for the import.

Phineas Jones (of Octophant fame) has a new educational art print for sale:

Screenprinted at Screwball Press so you know they’re done right.
