This is a damn fine beer.

The Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA is like a hopped-up version of their regular Pale Ale but it doesn’t give your mouth the painful bitter taste you can get from other mega-hopped beers. I’m not usually the biggest fan of over-hopped beers but there is something in this one that makes it refreshingly drinkable. My guy at the beer shoppe explained that they use whole cone hops to add the extra hoppiness and that keeps it from getting too bitter while pulling in all of the flavor you expect from an Extra IPA. It’s got a little extra kick to it at 7.2%ABV but if you’re careful you should be fine.

I’m not over the QuadCamera effect yet. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t be too much longer.

QuadCamera is a neat little iPhone app that mimics the effect of those Lomo ActionSamplers.

You can monkey with the exposure interval and the number and formatting of the snapshots. This will be fun to play with when I am out with the kids tearin’ it up at the club, y’all!
