It was your standard late 80's/early 90's murder thriller (see also: Fatal Attraction, Jagged Edge, Presumed Innocent). But the leads were good, even though I don't like Pacino much anymore. Him, Ellen Barkin, John Goodman. That was the movie that relaunched Pacino's career. He wasn't yet full of himself again (for example: Scent of a Woman, Heat). It was decent.
