…but the Giants are 3-1. I am as surprised as anyone. I know I set low expectations for myself but it’s hard not to get excited about a win at Lambeau. The photo above was obviously the turning point. Sure, Favre snuck back into the game on the following play to throw a TD on 4th and 5, but at the end of the game when the Giants were up 7 and the Packers had the ball with under a minute to go there was no way Doug Pederson was going to lead the comeback. Pederson is a servicable qb but he doesn’t have the mojo to pull out a win under that circumstance.
And again this week the Giants won by forcing turnovers and by running the ball. Tiki was HUGE in this game. He’s underrated, and that’s tough to be in NYC. Warner broke the seal on the interception jar with a *teerible* throw into TRIPLE COVERAGE FROM THE GB 1-YARD LINE. It was a crushing mistake and I was convinced that it was going to cost the Giants the game. Turns out we bounced back from Warner’s folly (and 3 missed field goals!) for a heck of a win.
Cheers to the Giants!
