Heavy Rotation – Stellastarr
This is your new favorite song. It’s been in my player (and stuck in my head) for weeks. I now give it to you.
Stellastarr*’s “My Coco”.

I find this strangely intriguing. Those guys are funny, but funnier is this strange copy I found at the FOX site describing the show:
Popular rap moguls METHOD MAN and REDMAN give new meaning to the phrase wont you be my neighbor when they move to an affluent, gated community in northern New Jersey along with Method Mans feisty old-school mother DOROTHEA (Anna Maria Horsford). Their next-door neighbor in the posh Nottingham Estates is NANCY BLAFORD (Beth Littlefield, The Daily Show), a powerful realtor whos trying to get the community board to evict the rappers, while her 12-year-old son SKYLAR (David Henrie) openly admires the dynamic, but totally laid-back duo.Late-night parties, hot ladies and heavy bass SUVs aside, Method Man is a lovable mommas boy who talks to his pet goldfish, Goldie. Redman, the Abbott to Meths Costello, realizes they need to connect with their neighbors and become a part of the community.
With Dorothea keeping them PG-13, METHOD & RED change tactics using spirit, kindness and fruit cake to ingratiate themselves with the residents of Nottingham Estates to avoid eviction from their new home.
METHOD & RED is produced by Regency Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Kell Cahoon, Will Gluck and Method Man serve as executive producers.
Seriously, it’s huge.
Also, it is awesome. I mean, where else would you look to get directions to the Native American Ice Cream Co. (formerly Big Chief Crazy Cone) from The Jazz Hole.
We did more work last weekend on the deck. A lot more. Well, it sure seemed like a lot. If you can believe it, it was even hotter than the weekend before. Oh, and it was humid like July. It was awful.
The first thing we did was add the support legs. We may have overdone it a bit, but the last thing I want to do in 5 years is try to add support due to some sagging.

To give us some shade while we were laying the floor boards we hung a giant orange tarp to throw some shade on us. I’m sure the neighbors loved it.

“Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim” comes out on June 1st.
Michelle and I are big fans of his other work. It’s always funny and sometimes touching.
Here is an excerpt. Good stuff.
Thanks to Largehearted Boy for the tip.
I gave up on The Shield a month or so ago. I was still enjoying it, but never found the time to watch it. So I just cancelled the Season Pass.
So I missed last night’s episode, directed by David Mamet. It’s all good, though. They’re repeating it Friday night, and Tivo’s ready.
Jimmy Fallon is leaving Saturday Night Live. He made the announcement at the end of the Weekend Update segment this weekend. I thought this season of SNL was as good as any in the last 4 or 5 years, and Fallon was a big part of that. I’m cool with him moving on, though. There are a bunch of players on the show who, I think, can keep up the quality. Kenan Thompson is really funny and Seth Meyers makes me laugh just about every week, but my new favorite guy is Fred Armisen. As Prince on The Prince Talk Show he kills me. I even laugh at Ferecito, but I chalk that up to a small Tito Puente fixation. I think Armisen would be great, as Defamer is hearing, as Jimmy Fallon’s replacement at the Weekend Update desk.
This is just a reminder for me.
I’m constantly saving links and losing them. Maybe this will help.
