I just moved to LA from Boston a couple months ago. I was initially greeted with beaches, tube tops, and warm weather. Now I find myself surrounded on all sides by wildfire. I'm 35 miles from the nearest blaze and my car is covered with ash. An eerie yellow hue has surrounded us for the past three days, and many of my friends and coworkers have unexpected house guests in the form of friends and family forced from their homes.
